Challenge Brief

Many office workers struggle with everyday computer tasks — finding the right application, formatting documents, or sending attachments. This causes lost time, errors, and dependency on IT support. ARIA solves this by recognizing individual voices in an office, giving each person a personalized experience, and letting them perform tasks (writing documents, researching, emailing, scheduling, opening files/apps) purely by speaking. It runs locally for everyday tasks and connects online only when needed (e.g., research, sending email), keeping data off external servers.

Key Challenge Question

How can office workers with limited technical skills interact with their computers as naturally as speaking to a colleague, without losing time to IT support or formatting/navigation hurdles?

Goals & Mission

To remove the technical barrier between everyday office workers and their computers by enabling natural voice interaction — making productivity tools accessible to everyone, regardless of technical skill, while keeping data secure and functioning reliably even with unstable internet. (“Designed for African offices, built for the world.”)
