Challenge Brief

NITDA is responsible for regulating and providing oversight for IT projects undertaken by Federal Public Institutions (FPIs). However, government digital investments are initiated and managed across multiple stages and information sources, including budget appropriations, procurement plans, tender notices, contract awards and project implementation records.

Currently, there is no sufficiently integrated and intelligent mechanism for NITDA to automatically identify, track and analyse these digital investments throughout their lifecycle and determine whether projects requiring regulatory oversight have obtained the necessary IT Project Clearance.

This creates limited visibility of government technology investments and makes it difficult to proactively identify potential non-compliance.
