AssetPass NG

Government institutions such as NITDA still rely on manual asset registers and paper-based gate pass systems to manage ICT devices. These processes are slow, error-prone, difficult to audit, and provide limited visibility into asset movement, increasing the risk of unauthorized removal and asset loss. There is a need for a secure, intelligent, and scalable digital solution that modernizes asset governance while improving accountability, transparency, and operational efficiency

Challenge Brief

AssetPass NG introduces a Digital Asset Passport and Digital Gate Pass platform that assigns every ICT asset a secure digital identity and enables automated authorization, verification, and monitoring of asset movement. Using QR codes, RFID/NFC technology, mobile applications, cloud dashboards, and AI-powered analytics, the platform provides real-time visibility of assets, strengthens security, improves audit readiness, and eliminates manual processes. The solution is designed to pilot at NITDA and scale across Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Key Challenge Question

How can NITDA digitally transform the registration, authorization, tracking, and movement of ICT assets by replacing manual registers and paper-based gate passes with a secure, intelligent, and scalable digital platform that can be adopted across the Nigerian public sector?

Goals & Mission

To build a secure, intelligent, and scalable GovTech platform that digitizes ICT asset management and gate pass operations, improves accountability and transparency, reduces asset loss, strengthens security, and establishes a unified national standard for digital asset governance across the Nigerian public sector.
